eGIX Strikes Deal with Telecare to Offer Internet Service Nationwide
Carmel, IN, April 23, 2004–Steve Johns, president and CEO of Carmel-based eGIX Inc., today announced that Noblesville-based long distance provider Telecare will offer eGIX’s accelerated Internet dial-up product, Velocity Access, nationwide.
With customers in all 50 states, Telecare provides long distance phone service to residential users and small businesses, with a particular specialty in the not-for-profit sector.
According to Bill Tucker, vice president of marketing for Telecare, eGIX’s ability to provide nationwide service matches with Telecare’s needs and complements its existing phone services. Additionally, Telecare will market directly to its customer base and through its web site – www.longdistance.com.
Velocity Access is the accelerated Internet dial-up product with speeds reaching up to six times standard dial-up speeds, said Johns, adding that eGIX was a pioneer in the field of accelerated Internet dialup.
Telecare, headquartered in Noblesville, Ind., has provided long distance services to a nationwide customer base of residential users and small businesses since 1991.
