Line Features & Codes

Call Waiting

Call Waiting allows you to accept incoming calls if you are currently on the line. This feature places your first call on hold while you answer the second incoming call.

bullet A beep tone alerts you to another incoming call
 
bullet If available, the new phone number also displays on your Caller ID device
 
bullet If you want to take the call, press the flash button or switch hook on your phone to enable Call Waiting
 
bullet Calls that you do not answer go directly to voice mail
 

Disable Call Waiting (Before Making a Call)

bullet Dial *70 (or 1170 on a rotary phone before you dial the number)
 
bullet Call Waiting will be temporarily disabled until you complete the phone call
 
bullet Call Waiting will reactivate automatically when you hang up
 

Disable Call Waiting (During a Call)

bullet Press receiver switch hook and release quickly
 
bullet Listen for dial tone
 
bullet Dial *70 (or 1170 on a rotary phone)
 
bullet Press receiver switch hook and release. Continue with original call
 
bullet Your Call Waiting will automatically reactivate when you hang up

NOTE: You must have Three-Way Calling to utilize this feature.
