Staying current with the Windows Updates can help prevent virus activity from harming your computer (http://www.windowsupdate.com).  

Also make sure that your Anti-Virus software is updated with the latest patches and DAT files. If you do not have Anti-Virus software on your computer you can run a free online scan at http://www.trendmicro.com.
