Messaging: Third Party Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) Control

You use this page to display information about the Third-Party MWI Control service. Third-Party MWI Control allows you to receive a message waiting indicator (MWI) at your phone to alert you of messages waiting on a third-party voice mail system. The MWI can be a stuttered dial tone or, on some phones, a light on your phone. The MWI is activated when you redirect incoming calls encountering a busy or no answer condition to a third-party voice mail system. The MWI is deactivated when you retrieve the messages from this system.
